Ulrich Gebert y lo invisible
Una de las capacidades de la fotografía es la de mostrarnos aquello que es invisible, lo que está ahí, sabemos que existe pero no lo vemos. Esto es lo que ha hecho el fotógrafo alemán Ulrich Gebert.
En su trabajo American Pk. 1 Gebert busco en Valencia a esos trabajadores invisibles e ilegales que se reúnen en plazas españolas y esperan ser recogidos por furgonetas para ir a trabajar a obras o al campo. Gebert comenta: “Fue duro porque nadie está contento al ver un fotógrafo documentando estas cosas. Tuve que investigar cómo se organizaba el trabajo, donde la gente se reuniría muy temprano, antes del amanecer. Sucede por todas partes pero es algo secreto (…)Es una herramienta visual importnate mostrar lo que está sucediendo. La visión desde arriba era importante para mí . (..) Era un intento de retratar todo el sistema, un sistema en él que lso trabajadores no son tratados como individuos”.
Este trabajo fue portada del nº 16 la revista holandesa Foam , que estaba dedicada a fotógrafos menores de 35 años.

Ulrich Gebert and the invisible
One of the characteristics of photography is its ability to show what is invisible, what is there, we know is there but we don´t see it. This is what German photographer has done.
In his project American Pk. 1 Gebert looked for those invisible and illegal workers that meet in Spanish squares, in thsi case in Valencia. Gebert says: “It was a hard time because of course nobody is happy to see a photographer around documenting those things. I had to research how the work was organised, where people would meet very early in the morning before the sun rose. It´s happening all over the place, but still it’ a secret thing (…) It’s a important visual tool to show what ’s happeneing. The view from above was important to me. (..) It was an attempt to portray the whole system, a system where workers don´t get treated as individuals”
This worl was the cover image of nº 16 of the Dutch photomagazine Foam, which was dedicated to photgraphers under 35.
Bleda y Rosa
La pareja de fotógrafos españoles formada por María Bleda (Castellón, 1969) y José María Rosa (Albacete, 1970) han ganado el Premio Nacional de Fotografía que otorga el Ministerio de Cultura.

The couple of Spanish photographers formed by María Bleda (Castellón, 1969) and José María Rosa (Albacete, 1970) have gained the Premio Nacional de Fotografía, which is given by the Ministerio de Cultura.
